We will explore the power of symbol, metaphor and the mythopoetic imagination within the realm of contemporary ways of knowing, together with their practical application which benefits society and the world.
When we engage with these areas of study, they are not just concepts or information, but become wisdom-enriched pathways that reveal what was previously hidden from our view.
The aim of this course is to allow you to not only study and research for your own discovery and nourishment, but to also gain transferable skills that you can take out into the world when complete.
Finding meaning
Why now?
Studying spiritual traditions and practices with an emphasis on myth, art, imagination and nature and their relevance for today is urgent and vital for the healing of our planet and the current crises that we are all experiencing.
They can tell us something about how we can not only make changes on a practical level, but how we need to change our consciousness and the way we see the world, in order to restore the balance back to a more harmonious understanding of the human being and our place in the cosmos. There are answers in our past that we urgently need to recover.

A live seminar on each of the modules will take place during the first 8 months of the diploma – September to April.

How it works
What you’ll receive
The Diploma runs entirely online and includes over 80 hours study time – comprising pre-recorded lectures, handouts, and other resources.
It runs from September 2025 to July 2026.
During the first eight months of the course (September to April) your tutors will deliver a monthly study seminar for each of the modules. You can join these one hour study sessions live on Zoom, or you can watch the recording at a time to suit you.
In addition to the seminars you will receive handouts and other resources to guide your self study time. We expect this to be around 8 hours per month.
This course takes the whole of you into consideration – mind, imagination, heart and body – so we invite you to keep a Learning Journal and to write a range of reflective or contemplative pieces, one of which will be assessed.
The period from May to July 2026 is set aside for the creation of an artefact, or bringing an idea into a practical form. This is broad in scope. Towards the end the couse, we offer you the opportunity to present your creative project to your peers.
This Diploma course is certificated and regulated by The Centre for Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred. Upon successful completion of the Diploma, you will receive your certificate by post.
