About the TALK
Your Heart’s Invitation to Deeper Living
At this book launch, Louise will speak a little about her own journey with her heart through physical illness. Louise will also share excerpts from the book and guide participants on a gentle, contemplative journey into their own hearts. Towards the end of the session there will be an opportunity for a Q&A. This event is intended to be a joy-filled, heart-full evening, full of genuine heart-to-heart connection, so if you feel a resonance in your heart to come along, please register for free below. (Please note that the session will be recorded, so if you register you will receive the recording afterwards).
About the book: The Heart Sense Journey offers the possibility for you to engage deeply with your heart and its many different aspects. In the book you will meet five different hearts and learn to connect with their wisdom, supporting you to revisit and transform out-dated and taken-for-granted assumptions of the heart. The Heart Sense Journey is a call to courage, transformation, and co-creation: an invitation to live into the world your heart has always dreamed of for you, and in turn, an invitation to co-create a world that carries the potential to flourish for all.
About: Louise Livingstone, PhD
In 1990, at the age of eighteen, Louise was hospitalised for three months with myocarditis. Experiencing numerous cardiac arrests, Louise was left with a pacemaker and taking heavy doses of a medication. Over the next two decades, Louise experienced debilitating arrythmias; losing faith in her own heart’s ability to keep her alive and consequently descending into severe depression. In a moment poised between life and death, Louise’s heart reached out and spoke to her. This numinous, extra-ordinary experience led Louise on a long journey to make sense of what had happened; through the world of self-help, to an MSc in Holistic Science at the Schumacher College, and onwards to complete a PhD in transformative learning. Revisiting her own understanding of what the heart actually is, Louise’s research methodology created a space for her heart to speak, and during her doctoral and post-doctoral research, she learnt to reconnect to her heart and hear her heart’s wisdom. Louise is Co-Founder of the Centre for Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred, and also the Founder/Director of the Heart Sense Research Institute.
